Who We Are:

King's Cross Boone is an independent reformed Christian church. We began in early 2024 out of a desire to establish a solid foundation for Christian discipleship and community for generations to come. We hold that the Bible is the only infallible authority for Christian faith and practice. And we believe that God's word has authority over all men in all areas of life.

Our worship is liturgical and bold. The liturgy is interactive. We sing and recite the Psalms and the creeds of the church. We worship together as families. See an example of our order worship here. 

Our vision is one of building Christian community and walking through life together. Our leadership vision is worshipping together and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry in their lives and callings.

Location:

We are located in the Town of Boone on the east side on Highway 421 near Watauga High School and Mo's Boots (map below). Come join us on Sunday as we exalt the name of Christ above every other name. We often have lunch at the White's house after church and all are welcome. 

Our Pastor:

In March of 2024, James Lynch of Raleigh, NC accepted a full time pastor position at King's Cross. James in is his mid-30's. He and his wife Elizabeth and have 4 children. We are so thankful to have the Lynches join King's Cross as we lay what we hope in the Lord will be solid foundations for many generations to come. James earned a masters degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Church Distinctives:

King's Cross holds to the covenant theology of the reformation. We are postmil, theocratic and building for the long run. We want to equip our members to build strong marriages and families, disciple their children, and serve the Lord faithfully in their life callings. We have a very high view of the word of God, the Bible. It is the authoritative rule for life and faith for all men.

We have recently started a library at the church with books for children and young adults that have been chosen as favorites by our families after 20+ years of homeschooling. Other gifts and goals of our church members include building support structure for homeschool families with in our church, bridge education for older teens, worldview education, apologetics training, evangelism, entrepreneurship and starting a small business, local and state political action, building intellectual community, publishing and more.

But who knows what God will do? Our leadership goal is not to do the ministry in our town as much as it is to equip and support our congregation to do it in every area of life. We believe the declaration "Christ is Lord" applies not just to church and family but all of life.
